No Emotional Basis
Love is too emotional to change the way things are
Plus, it's more of a promotional tool to sell more beers at bars
And when something goes commercial, it can't go too far
You need something with more inertia than love to reach for the stars
I personally agree more with the overall feeling of apathy
It's emotion-free, and not complicated by sympathy or empathy
All of which we individually need, but falls far short of worthwhile ideology
Love is crazy, mixed in with angry, happy, sappy and some mental tyranny
Unfortunately, as a solution for the world's confusion
The emotional infusion it represents spells quick disillusion
And a fusion of crueler factions leading to death, injury, hate, and contusions
So, my resolution is apathy and logic as a more perfect union
And the best thing about it is that love and apathy are true opposites
Hate requires anger as a prerequisite, and apathy has no place for anger as a basic tenet
Where love is a confused fit of feelings both real and counterfeit
Apathy and logic basically don't give a shit and can't be confused by emotional rhetoric
