Bro’s Over Ho’s

There's a reason that the word "self" is in self-respect and self-worth
So, if you believe that a man is responsible for your insecurities and girth
I've got a saying for the men that have to deal with your misplaced anger, "Bro's over Ho's"
I know that it's not subtle, but men tend not to be, so please pardon this blunt prose

Even if you don't and you take offense at my bumper sticker philosiphy
I care not a whit, because all the shit you accuse men of, women have done to my friends and me
The only difference is our quietude in the face of your unwaranted accusations
If you can't seem to control your own "self"-esteem, it's not up to us to coo soft ego ministrations

My male friends, thin and fat alike, tend to do fine without the need for constant compliments
And if I fuck with them about their weight, they laugh along with me rather than putting up an emotional defense
Don't go foisting your bullshit problems on a man for being logical and actually solving emotional queries
Rather than hugging, sobbing, and being drama queens over every easily solved misery

We didn't put these ideas of an ideal woman in your heads, you're the ones that break each other down
You do it to make yourselves feel better, finding problems from fake tits to the length of one of your friend's gowns
But you do it in such a cruel and catty manner that there's no way to take it but as a direct attack
So, it's not the men that put this Barbie Doll complex on you, it's respect towards each other that you lack

It's easy to put the blame for your own insecurities on men since we have the self-confidence to deal with it
But, look to your own girlfriends, and think about what cutting remarks have been said before giving us shit
We don't bring the Cosmo and Glamour magazines home to make you try to compete with near-skeletal girls
You do this to yourselves, we love you as you are, you put this stupid pressure on yourselves and then blame the male half of the world.
